Happy FEET!

Not moving the way you would like every day? Do your feet just feel “wonky”? Then what I want to share with you today is a strategy that can help reset our body so we can do what we want to… AND actually feel good doing so;)

When it comes to our structure, our feet can be the most telling. Are we putting too much force into the ground or not enough? And equally important….HOW are we doing just that?

Basically, how we’re built and how we’re “managing” gravity daily depends on how we do so. Our body weight can shift forward and/or out to the sides of our feet and can cause our toes to get stiff. It doesn’t feel great, and over time we might not even notice that it’s been happening.

As always, moving and feeling better STARTS by doing so with LESS TENSION.

What I have for you today is a strategy that can really help. You’re simply going to roll out the arch of each from the base of your big toe to your heel. And the bonus is that it feels great (like a massage) and will help the muscles of our feet relax.

Let’s take a look.

Here’s what you’re gonna need:

🔑 Clear/Comfortable space

🧗Maybe something to hold on to

🎾 Tennis or Lacrosse ball

Here’s what you’re gonna do as demonstrated:

🫁 BREATHING SEQUENCE:

-SLOW NASAL ONLY breathing. QUIETLY.

EASILY/SLOWLY (1 out of 10 effort) roll the ball forward and back along the ARCH of your foot (BIG TOE BASE to the HEEL).

🔑 Roll until your foot/toes are as RELAXED as possible.

✔️ REPEAT this pattern for as long as it takes to relax each foot DAILY.

Now stand up…go for a walk. How do you feel? Maybe a bit more grounded than before?

💡REMEMBER…if we want to move and feel better as we age, we need to reset our bodies with a SMART DAILY PRACTICE. REAL CHANGE takes time and consistency.

Dedicated to your health and longevity,

Mike
